A conventional clutch kit has four parts: a pink separation bearing on the input shaft, a light yellow and thin blue pressure plate, an orange friction plate, and a thick blue flywheel.
When the clutch pedal is released, a steel spring on the pressure plate provides pressure that connects the friction plate to the flywheel and transmits power. When the clutch pedal is pressed down, the pressure plate shifts, the friction plate separates from the flywheel, and the engine’s power output stops at the flywheel.
