Recently, the issue of automobile brake pads and brake drums has once again attracted public attention. However, some unscrupulous businesses use low-priced and inferior materials to manufacture brake pads and brake drums in order to make a profit, seriously threatening the life and property safety of consumers.
In this context, the State Administration for Market Regulation recently released the results of a special inspection of automobile parts such as brake pads and brake drums. The results showed that 21 batches of substandard products were identified from 32 batches of samples produced by 20 companies, including some well-known automobile parts brands. The main problems were concentrated in the braking ability of brake pads and brake drums, which had safety hazards such as long braking distance and brake failure.
In response to this, the State Administration for Market Regulation called on consumers to pay attention to purchase channels and try to choose formal channels to buy automobile parts that meet national standards. At the same time, relevant enterprises were urged to strengthen self-discipline, improve product quality, and ensure the safety and rights of consumers.
In addition to consumers and enterprises, government departments should also strengthen supervision and crackdown on illegal production and sales activities. Only by joint efforts of consumers, enterprises, and the government can the healthy development of the automobile parts market be safeguarded and the life and property safety of the people ensured.
